Sabumnim Christopher Leyesa – VI Dan

 Mr. Christopher Leyesa

Mr. Leyesa started his martial arts training at the age of 7 and currently holds a 6th Dan Black Belt in Taekwon-Do. He is a married father with two sons and a daughter.

Mr. Leyesa has over 20 years of experience teaching students of all ages, including those with special needs.

Mr. Leyesa is an International Certified Instructor in the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) and has competed and coached very successful athletes and teams on national and international levels.

When it comes to his Taekwon-Do training, he studies with Master Nick Malefyt (7th Dan & Regional Director of the USITF, West Caldwell, NJ) continuing his studies in fundamentals, patterns, various forms of sparring, breaking, and self defense. Master Malefyt is highly respected in his own discipline and has been an inspiration to Mr. Leyesa.

Mr. Scott Raff  – 4th Dan

Mr. Scott Raff is a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwon-Do and has been training in the martial arts for more than 17 years, 15 of which he has spent training under Mr. Leyesa. He graduated with a degree in Business from Temple University. Currently, Mr. Raff works for KPMG and assists in both the juniors and adult Taekwon-Do classes. 

Ms. Terry Besch  – 4th Dan

Ms. Terry Besch is a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwon-Do and has been training for over 25 years. She has over a decade of teaching experience ranging from children to adults. Ms. Besch is a positive role model at our school always showing that you are never too “old” to be training martial arts. She enjoys working with the Taekwon-Do juniors classes. 

Franco Berrones –  (Coach)

Franco Berrones is a red belt in Taekwon-Do and has been training for over three years. Mr. Berrones enjoys assisting in the junior Taekwon-Do classes as well as coaching sparring.
